From a club to a product studio

The Product Management Club existed to help students explore product careers, build practical skills and meet people in the industry. As president, I wanted members to do the work, not just learn about it.

So I turned the club into a client-facing product development program and secured three external partners who brought us real problems to solve.

Building the team

We recruited more than 40 members. From them I led a team of 10 student product managers, engineers and designers.

I set up a 13-week development cycle built around one goal: deliver a working web app MVP to each client by the end of it.

Running it like a product org

I was the primary liaison for our clients, running weekly standups, product demos and stakeholder updates.

Alongside the client work, I ran workshops on user personas, user stories and cross-functional collaboration, and worked with our faculty advisors to grow the club’s professional development opportunities.
